LUCKY dog Dougal is living the high life in Aberporth after being rescued from a "cottage of horror" in Lancashire where 246 dogs were kept in cages in appalling conditions.
Dougal, a Lhasa apso aged about five years, now lives with the Ingham family at Widegates. "If you saw him when we first got him and saw him now you wouldn't believe it," said Mrs Denise Ingham this week. "He could hardly walk, never barked and would not allow anyone to touch him."
Dougal came to live in Aberporth when the Inghams moved here from Wigan.
"We took him on about a year ago when some of the dogs that were found in that house in Silverdale were being rehomed by the RSPCA," said Mrs Ingham. "I haven't regretted it for a moment, he's great."
