Scrambling status

From the Tivyside Advertiser, first published Tuesday 11th Jan 2005.

Teifiside Motor Club is to host two scrambles this year and Jim Evans, New Quay, points out that a real feather in the club's cap will be seen from their being allocated Welsh Classic Scramble Championship status for their first meeting at Pantgwyn Farm on June 5.

An added attraction here will see the event for the first time feature a Welsh Championship class for sidecars. "The sidecar boys have been invited to join thew series, covering a total of six rounds throughout Wales," says Jim.

The other meeting will take place at the same venue on September 18 and this will take the form of a non-championship event as far as solo machines are concerned. It will, however, another Welsh Champioinshio round in the sereies for sidecars.

The club AGM will be held in Cardigan Bowls Club on Tuesday, February 1 at 7.30pm. Meanwhile, the club's annual dinner is scheduled to take place on April 16.
