The multi terrain Ras Dau Fryn at Tegryn saw Les Hewitson of Cardigan Running Club winning by a margin of over two minutes from Carwyn Thomas from Sarn Helen.
His time was 38.38 for the rain sodden six miles circuit of Frenni Fach and Frenni Fawr. Third place was taken by Mark Kallenberg of Cardigan in 40.58, gaining him the veterans prize and Brian Healey was 10th in 48.08. Four Cardis took part in the DALE half marathon, contested by over 100 runners.
The undulating course produced another win for Andrew Abbot of Sarn Helen, with an excellent time of 1 hour 17 mins 14secs. First Cardigan runner was fast improving Shan Cuthbert 38th in 1.38.52, with Jane Buck 46th in 1.42.40, Gareth Renshaw 58th in 1.48.13 and Hilary McCarthy 64th in 1.50.56.
The AGM of the Cardigan Running Club will be held this Wednesday at 8-30pm at the Leisure Centre.
