Some are already calling this giant wicker otter Wales' answer to 'The Angel of the North'.
But unlike Gatehead's Angel, the 26ft high otter created by local artist and weaver Michelle Cain using willow, hazel, oak and ash from the Teifi Marshes nature reserve owned by the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales will be taken down at the end of the summer and sold off to raise funds for the Trust.
Otters are a common sight in the reserve but this striking addition has been made to mark the first birthday of a Trust which came into being through the merger of two of the oldest trusts in Wales - the West Wales Wildlife Trust and the Glamorgan Wildlife Trust.
A day long birthday celebration is planned at the Wildlife Centre next Wednesday, April 16 (starting at 11.15am).
Broadcaster and naturalist Iolo Williams will be helping unveil some of the Trust's latest conservation and sustainable development projects during the event.
