Police have vowed to target pushers of hard drugs after a crack cocaine case came before magistrates in Cardigan for the first time on Thursday.
An unemployed 32-year-old man appeared in custody accused of three drug-related offences, allegedly involving three grammes of heroin, and three rocks of crack cocaine, the latter weighing 0.7 grammes Andrew Thomas Lane, of Flat 4, Priory Court, Cardigan, did not plead to the charges.
The offences allegedly came to light when police armed with a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act, went to his home on Thursday, July 11.
Lane, who was represented by Vicky Haynes of Narberth, did not apply for bail, and he was further remanded in custody to Cardiff Prison until Thursday, August 1.
A police spokesman said: "We cannot comment on a case which is the subject of court proceedings, but we can assure the public that drug pushers will be targeted."
