From the Tivyside Advertiser, first published Thursday 7th Mar 2002.
Cardigan architect Llwyd Edwards has been found guilty of serious professional incompetence and banned from practice for six months.
Appearing before a disciplinary hearing of the Architects Registration Board in London, Mr Edwards of The Old Stables, St Mary's Street, Cardigan denied allegations of serious professional incompetence relating to alleged technical errors in his work on a house extension and providing incorrect advice, leading his client Mr William Ward to choose a design which fell short of his requirements and caused him further expense than initially forecast.
Mr Edwards admitted allegations of unacceptable professional conduct in failing to respond to requests from Mr Ward and also from the Architects Registration Board, in relation to the complaints.
He later told the Tivy-Side he planned to appeal against the ban.
